Services

What I offer

I offer emotional and psychological support through counselling, encouraging you to live with confidence, hope and determination.

My aim is to help you to achieve a healthy adjustment to your worries, as well as to encourage you to develop specific coping strategies and skills to enable you to manage the impact of your issues upon your life.

Types Of Services Offered

Counselling

I offer support to anyone who could benefit from the service, on a one to one basis, however, I am unable to offer medical advice, diagnosis or opinion. In order to best meet your needs, the initial visit with you will be an opportunity for you to learn about my services and for you to ask any questions you may have.

For children I am able to offer counselling through different mediums, including sand play, Lego and drawing therapy. This can be individually with the child or also with parent(s).

An alternative method would be CBT (Cognative Behavioural therapy) offering solution focused and goal setting techniques to help to deal with issues, such as anxiety – learning to face things gradually at a pace comfortable to you.

If you are happy with all the details discussed, I will ask you to sign an agreement to confirm this.

Initially, I offer a series of 6 sessions with a view to offering on-going support as agreed with you. Less sessions would also be OK if that was required.

Supervision

I am now also able to offer supervision to outside parties, again at a competitive rate. This would maybe suit students in need of supervision whilst completing their training. Please submit an enquiry if you would like further information about this.

Last year I lost my best friend in tragic circumstances. I really didn't know how to deal with my loss so my mum suggested counselling. From the moment I was introduced to Nicola I felt comfortable and reassured. Nicola helped me deal with my mix of emotions ranging from sadness to anger. Since losing my best friend, I know I have come a long way, and for that I only have Nicola to thank.
